Super Bowl Food!

I haven't figured out how to let the general public post recipes (not even sure if that's possible)so if you have a recipe you'd like to share- email me and I will post it.  I hope to have different categories set up soon so it will be all organized:)

As some of you know, our Joos cleanse starts on Monday, the day after the Super Bowl. I, for one, will try to go easy on the chips and dip but it will be hard to say the least...So, today I will be perusing the 'net to find at least something "healthy" yet Super-bowl-ish that everyone will eat and not yell at me that I'm serving birdseed again. Stay tuned....
This is one of my favorite recipe sites dedicated to meatless goodness:

Guacamole: (Triple for Game Day!)

juice from 1/2 of a lime
1/8 c   fresh chopped cilantro
1/4 c    red onion, finely chopped
1 lg    garlic clove, finely chopped (optional)
1 lg    serrano chili, seeded and chopped (or hot sauce)
1/4 tsp    salt (optional)
some cumin (to taste)
1/4 sm    tomato, finely chopped

Using fork, mash avocado with lime juice in small bowl. Add cilantro, chopped onion, tomato, chopped garlic, Serrano chilies and salt and stir to combine. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips~

Welcome to the Cleanse Cape Cod Blog

Hello Everyone, This blog is for anyone interested in nourishing their bodies from the inside-out. We wanted a place to share recipes, thoughts and concerns during our Joos Cleanse at Bikram Yoga of Cape Cod(see links below). Perhaps you're just trying a cleanse for the first time, you want to cut out certain foods from your diet (such as caffeine, dairy, sugar and/or gluten), or just yearn for a cleaner "you". Some of us have never done a cleanse before so I'm hoping this blog will be great for support during our Cleansing journey ~ Enjoy and bring on those recipes!
